Epcot at night

Epcot at night, originally uploaded by eblackwell.

I miss my husband John. This is his park and we always enjoy a special time walking through here at night when we’re here.

I’ll be home to him tomorrow night.  Meanwhile, we headed back to the hotel around 9.  Sophia was tired and we didn’t want to push her.  I checked in with Southwest and I have my boarding pass.  I’m staying with Sophia in the room while Adam and Becky get some alone time at Victoria Falls lounge.  We’re having the breakfast buffet at Boma tomorrow morning, then headed back into Magic Kingdom.  It’s a whirlwind weekend!

In fact, I have to pack my bags in the morning and bring them with me.  I don’t want to take time with coming back to the room before the airport.  I’m going to lose time as it is with security.  And I really hope I don’t have the delays that I did flying down.  Especially not with work on Tuesday morning.

But!  We have a great day planned tomorrow!  I’m not going to wish that away by thinking of leaving.

Mexico pavilion! My fave!

We came back here to do the Three Cabilleros ride again.  As I mentioned before, I took Sophia on it Saturday night and now it’s one of her favorites too.  She calls it the Donald boats or the Donald ride. 😉

I forgot a couple things that happened at the Studios.   We rode Toy Story Mania again and Becky said Adam and I couldn’t make fun of her score.  I grabbed some menus for All Ears as we walked around, enjoying some more Star Wars weekends including a photo I got of Adam as a bounty hunter prisoner.  Oh, and I got in trouble for having my video camera out on Rock n Roller Coaster; Adam said sarcastically loud enough for everyone to hear, “Way to go, Erin.”  🙂

After “the Donald boats”, it was time to head back to the hotel.  I stayed with Sophia while Becky and Adam had some alone time at the Victoria Falls Lounge.  I also checked-in online with Southwest and got my boarding pass.  Almost time to go home.  I can’t believe it.

I played around with the blog when I hit the wall.  I read for awhile, but was asleep before Adam and Becky got back.

I won this turtle for Sophia

We got Becky at the hotel and talked about what we wanted to do that night.  Sophia wanted to ride Toy Story Mania again, but also “the Donald boats” — the new ride at Mexico.   That was 2 parks right there, and we adults wanted to ride Everest.  Since Animal Kingdom is right near the hotel — it IS the Animal Kingdom Lodge, after all — we popped into AK first.

I took Sophia on Triceratops Spin, freeing up Adam and Becky to ride Primeval Whirl together.  They were still in line when we came off our ride, so Sophia wanted to play some of the games at Dinoland.  She won a couple prizes herself, and then I won the purple turtle for her at a water gun game.

baby-simbaWe stopped for some PhotoPass pictures where Becky and I decided to have a good time with it.  Oh boy, did we ever…..  we then rode Everest together.  She got this oddest laugh during it, like she had been hit with some village idiot’s syndrome, and thankfully, I got it all on video!

Even the FastPass lane was long then, so it was to Studios and Toy Story Mania!

We also had done Muppets and showed Becky around some of the Star Wars sights.  Then it was off for Epcot!

Le Cellier for dinner

We planned to get s’mores for dessert, but we were really full!  Plus, Sophia hit the wall and was exhausted, starting to hit a big meltdown.  She was asleep as soon as we got her in the stroller.

We strolled through Mouse Gears where I looked for a Hawaiian shirt for John, but didn’t see one I liked.
(I got myself something though…. 😉 )

Sophia is tall enough for Soarin’ this year!  She was nervous, so I distracted her in line by putting her on my shoulders, dancing around as she played with her new Minnie toy.

Dancing with a kid on your shoulders and a Minnie whirling in your face: whew!

She kept asking if we would fly, so I stretched the truth and said it was like the flying in Peter Pan ride, but in front of a movie.  The chairs lifting up happened smoothly enough with us leveling off in the screen timing nicely with the light shift and darkness that I could say to her, Now we just sit here and enjoy the movie!  That and making a game of “lifting our feet so they don’t hit the water!” relaxed her so she really enjoyed it.

I also shared the Three Cabilleros ride in Mexico with her.  She’s in a stage where she hesitates at anything new, so I pointed out it was the Small World boats with a Donald Duck cartoon.  Becky and Adam had to take a phone call, so the 2 of us rode alone.  She sat close to me while the ride went through and had a blast.

And of course, we got to ride Nemo!

All Ears Net: Disney Wallpapers for your Desktop!

The Disney Desktop section is reborn!  30 new wallpapers are waiting for you.  Right now, they came from my photos and from one of All Ears photographers, Scott Thomas, but look for the rest of the team to give photos for this section.

One of the great things about these is: you’ll find the big favorites like the Castle, Big Thunder mountain (with a great look inside the canyon), and Everest, but you also get the what you can’t find in other places!  The Mickey Grecian Urn in Minnie’s House, a wonderful angle of Cinderella’s fountain, Sonny Eclipse, the Fife and Drum Corps honoring the forces at Iwo Jima, paintings/murals in Animal Kingdom, and a phenomenal look at two of the Studios icons from the entrance

These Disney World wallpapers come in a large variety of sizes, from common 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768, up to the widescreen IMAX theater size 1920 x 1200! (Thanks go to Jack Spence on the All Ears team for helping me find the right resolution for the drive-in screen he uses as a monitor. 😉 )

All Ears wants to give you access to favorites that don’t get the attention they deserve, such as:

Foodies, your time is here!  Do you need not just a Disney fix, but you’re thinking of Cheddar Cheese soup? We have started a Disney restaurant wallpaper section featuring these special places and some signature dishes!

All Ears  readers always ask for photos, photos, and more photos!  Here they are, ready for your desktop!

And as always, please give All Ears your feedback.  Do you like these wallpapers? Let us know!  Do you need different sizes or want to see certain attractions, shows, restaurants, events….?   Let us know!

Enjoy!  Fill that Disney fix!  And when your friends and family have one, send them to our Disney desktop wallpapers!

(Hmm… can I use any more exclamation marks? 😀 )

Kudos if you know where I got the Epcot background for my avatar!

What a romantic moment!

I know I said I love John’s sense of humor, but….
