Crazy week

Resume Editing
It’s been such a crazy week. It started off great. I acted in a murder mystery dinner theater last Saturday night, and the audience really loved it. I was so nervous! I hadn’t performed in any show in 2 years, and the last dinner theater I did for these people, the audience went on and on about how clever I was etc., and I didn’t know if I could do well again.

On Sunday, John & I met some friends at Mastoris Diner in Trenton, NJ. 2 people even came down from Connecticut! We had such a good time, that we spent 3 and a half hours there without even realizing it! One of our friends noticed the staff hanging around, needing our big table (we had 21 people) for a 50th birthday party. That’s when it sank in how long we had been there.

But then my sinuses acted up again and I lost my cellphone. I’ve torn apart our cars, our house, called Mastoris and the supermarket where we stopped afterwards. I finally reported it gone and ordered a new one, but I’m hoping I still find my old one. I want my address book, and my pictures & videos from it! I had such great photos, some of my favorites. I’d hate to lose them.

I even prayed to St. Anthony! That’s how much I want it. I hate to disparage a saint, but where the heck is my phone?! LOL!

I was at my sinus doctor again last night, and he’s worried the colds I had in Dec. and Jan. undid some of the healing after the surgery. I’m really losing faith.

But here’s hoping the weekend will bring about a change for the better. My new phone comes today (and the ardous process of entering numbers starts), I’ll be at the Williamstown Amish Market tomorrow with my animal shelter and some animals who need adopting; and we’re seeing our friend, Suzanne, on Sun night.

So maybe Elphie stealing the box of anti-gas tablets and me having to dive under the bed after her isn’t a bad omen after all. 😉

John surprised me completely! I didn’t expect anything at all! AND it came early!!!

You can tell it came from John! Look at the vase!! 🙂

It’s your Zip A Dee Doo Dah Tip of the Day!

So many people told me they enjoyed the other Internal WDW Channel video (Ok, 2 people did), that I thought I’d post this favorite blast from the past!  Who remembers this?

Happy Sigh….

Dog webcam

I wasn’t using my laptop today, so I set it up at home with the webcam aimed at the dogs.  I like looking at them, it’s a nice pick me up, but it’s giving me some guilt pangs.  When we first got Casey, John decided our dogs would stay in their crates while we were out because he was afraid of them chewing something up.  So while I love seeing them taking their naps, it’s a bit like looking at a cell row in a pound.

You know you’re a Disney geek when….

Finding this video makes up for it being Monday morning!

It’s a long video, so you probably want to hit pause about now. 😉

I’m worth a toddler’s Disney dollars!

Our friend, Becky, took us to dinner last night. 3 year old Sophia, her daughter, came too and sat across from me. I kept her busy talking to keep her from getting to ansy, and asked her about her trip to Disney in early April. She said she had her own money so she could buy whatever she wanted when she was there, and we talked about what she wanted to get. Then she asked me if I was coming with them. Becky said I could stay in their room, no charge, and she might even get me a couple free passes. But still, I’d need a plane ticket and that alone is too much right now, which is what I said to her.

At the end of the night, Sophia comes up to me with big, soulful eyes: “I give my money to mommy and she buy you a ticket to Disney. ‘Cause that’s what I want to buy.”

Melt me like better. And break my heart at the same time, because she stood there, looking up with me with so much hope and begging in her eyes: say yes, say yes, say yes. But if I did, I’d break that promise later. But how do you tell a 3 year old that her savings isn’t enough to the airlines?

I never did come up with an answer; I danced around it with her, picking her up in a hug, thanking her and saying we would have so much fun together. Then I distracted her with something else until we said goodbye.

She’s probably forgotten all about it now, but for me, wow…. to be worth her Disney money, so she could have me with her and her parents when she saw Mickey again.

By the way, good luck to Mickey in Disney World when she thanks him for the letters and starts asking about all the pictures!!! LOL

All Ears Net!

If you’re part of the online Disney community or have ever asked someone for advice about planning a trip, you know about All Ears Net.com. Well, I’m going to start writing for it! I’m working with Deb Wills on the Animal Kingdom section, a park we both absolutely love! I’ll also be helping with the resort section, especially our favorite, Fort Wilderness!

John and I, and our friend Kim, started using allears back when it was wdwig and had a purple background; it’s so much fun that Deb has asked me to help out on this site!

John joked that this was the sign that we “need to sell the house and move down there.  So you can be right there to get the updates!”
